Meet Our Team

Meet Anthony, Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine REIT, LLC.  Anthony is an alumnus of  Bradley University where he pursued  undergraduate studies in pre-med. He has enjoyed a 30+ year career as a firefighter/paramedic with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and retired in 2016. In 2015, my wife and I founded Sunshine REIT as a way to invest in real estate and leave a legacy for our children. This project later turned into a passion of ours as we discovered many people like ourselves with similar goals. Our vision quickly grew to help those other like-minded individuals achieve their goals of providing legacies while achieving our goal as well. 

We chose to build our portfolio in workforce housing because we felt that hardworking people deserve a clean, comfortable affordable space to live. The home is the bedrock of a person's success in life.

Meet Rasheedah, Chief Operating Officer of Sunshine REIT, LLC. Rasheedah holds a BS in Public Administration with extensive post graduate work in the same field and as such oversees Sunshine’s business operations and ensures the implementation of effective operational and financial procedures. Rasheedah Shakoor is the Executive Director of Associated Student Inc., CSUDH where she has  worked for over 10 years with a combined 20+ years of higher education administration experience. She leads a team of 30+ employees who help run a student non-profit auxiliary, a notable high impact practice of the CSU.  

Rasheedah fully embraces her role as a servant leader,  a mom, wife and Founder of a successful real estate investment trust.

Meet Kimberly, Senior Vice President of Asset Development. Educated and experienced in Architecture, Business, Organizational Leadership and Construction Management, Kimberly contributes strategic competencies for Sunshine's "Big Picture" endeavors. Her role includes purchase advocacy, pre-purchase research, portfolio audit, strategic re-positions and asset improvement.

Kimberly loves family, social awareness and entertainment arts.  She serves her community through advocating for the disenfranchised portion of our society.

Meet Myriam, Vice President of Investor Relations, Communications and Marketing. Alumna of CSU Dominguez hills and Long Beach State, she holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA. Myriam is a finance manager for a non-profit corporation in the higher education industry, where she administers an annual budget of close to $2 million and state and federal contracts valued at over $500,000. She is well versed in the art of communication, marketing and branding, putting those talents at the service of Sunshine REIT, LLC. 

Myriam is passionate about higher education, and helps develop a new generation of leaders in her professional career who advocates for accessibility and affordability of higher education for all. She is also fully bilingual in French and English.
